The capacitive level probe for analogue level measurement from RECHNER Sensors also has 2 additional binary switching points. The user can set the analogue measuring range anywhere within the measuring area. The two switching points can also be positioned anywhere over the whole measuring area, either within or outside of the set analogue measuring range. The technology of this rod probe with integrated evaluation electronics is based on RECHNER’s patented 3 electrode principle. The measurement is made between the measuring electrode inside the i-Level probe and the metal container wall. With non-metal containers an additional electrode (e.g. copper foil) is used. The adjustment of the i-Level probe is made with RECHNER’s well-tried EasyTeach philosophy. The probe has an intelligent PNP/NPN recognition. Normally open or normally closed output is programmable. The available output signals are 0…10 V, 4…20 mA, or 0…20 mA. Variants with EasyTeach by wire (ETW ) or CANBus interface are provided on request.

The i-Level probes have an electronic lock in order to protect the probe from unwanted adjustments. The standard version has a G1“ process connection and is incredibly compact at just 30 mm diameter and only 75 mm length outside of the container. Connection materials are all FDA conforming stainless steel VA No. 1.4305 or 1.4404 and can also be connected to hygienic, metallic sealing process adapters. The plastic used for the part of the probe that is in contact with the product to be detected is GFK (glasfibre reinforced plastics) as standard. Optional variants for the plastic bodies are PE, PEEK, PTFE or PVDF.

The i-Level probe is ideal for level detection of bulk materials or liquids. Thanks to the two additional switching points additional tasks can be achieved with the same probe, such as dry run protection for pumps and high level output signal to avoid overfills and spillages.
