Specific fields of applications of activated carbon filters are processes in chemical and manufacturing industries with solvent emissions (industries that use paints, graphic industries, dry cleaners, degreasing of the mechanical industry, fiber industry, rubber and artificial leather) and many chemical processes involving oxidation reactions of organic substances in air flow. Another typical field of application is the control of odors in the food, chemical and various industrial activities.
They are usually inserted in series after other types of filters (for example bag filters or oil separators) to reduce odors.
